This film, which unlike movies like Call me by your name rather than romanticizing love between two men it takes a realistic more relatable approach to it, with the same emotional density. The film looks nice and I suppose some of the acting is okayish (this does not include 'the blond one' referenced in the title who shows us one facial expression throughout the film). Until the end I understand why they decided to keep so many of her scenes. More of his attention goes towards daughter Ornella (Malena Irusta), a second grader being raised by his parents while he’s forced to live and work some distance away (her mother passed away some time ago). When they’re alone, however, there is no mistaking the frisson between Gabe and Juan. He had already told his female girl friend that it was all over. Even tho different, even in nationalities, both of these films have distinct styles that are common in organic narrative and just overwhelming emotional beauty. Regia da Oscar. The end came kind of suddenly, at first disappointing, but then surprisingly heart-warming, despite the previous sad development. He expressed Gabriel's fragility and complexity to a tee.
It's very rare that two people are going to be on the same place (both geographically and life wise).

The direction is intentionally, and creatively, slow - the camera lingers on the faces (and the bodies) but doesn't leave you itching for the fast-forward button. What starts off as a seemingly affable living arrangement soon turns to burgeoning attraction, then full-blown desire.Set on background of personal ceremonies and tradition, this is the story of a twelve year old boy. it's a plaintive story filled with melancholy its heartening and gladdening moments. Todos los actores están muy creíbles. This film is relatable because it portrays how a relationship between two guys from the middle class is, which isn't an easy or a forward situation, it demonstrates how subtle and on guard, the seduction is through perfect and stunning body language that filled the void when the dialogue was absent (acting is perfect), and made us feel how unsettled their couple is, far from the Hollywood mainstream gay or the big cities. Not that there’s any lack of nudity or sex in this latest iteration of his usual theme: two dudes confronting a shared physical attraction while awkward about the whole “gay thing.” But “The Blonde One” closely hews to the template of Berger’s prior films (excluding 2015’s non-gay, what-if fantasy “Butterfly”) in prizing emotional nuance above titillation. It’s a modest, touching drama whose limited U.S. theatrical launch on Sept. 6 comes with an incongruous title change — called “The Blond One” or “Un Rubio” everywhere else, the movie has no fair-haired female characters to warrant that added “e.”Juan’s relationships with the opposite sex seem equally casual, as more than one naked female is seen sidling out of his bedroom door on occasion. Really good film. Running time: 111 MIN. This film is definitely worth seeing. Muestra con claridad la dificultad de ser gay en la Argentina actual. I am a Marco Berger fan.

In Argentina, when one man invites a co-worker ("the blonde one") to live in a spare room in his apartment, things surprisingly get hot and steamy. I was hesitant going in as I am with most gay films I find, for fear of being let down more than anything, but this film definitely blew my expectations out of the water. With The Blond One, again, a very Berger style of acting :) I was really touched by this movie, it's speaks about of lot of emotions that we all deal with everyday!
She's the president of her sorority, a Hawaiian Tropic girl, Miss June in her campus calendar, and, above all, a natural blonde. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. Variety and the Flying V logos are trademarks of Variety Media, LLC.
